How you are paid

How partner earnings work: payout, fees and tax

Every job on Towigo shows how your money is worked out, so you know what you will receive before you accept. This page explains each line. We do not promise any income: what you earn depends on how many jobs you take and how far they are.

The numbers on every job

01

Trip payout

The distance for the trip, counted both ways, times your rate per kilometre. This is before the platform fee and tax.

02

Platform fee

A percentage of the trip payout that pays for finding you jobs, tracking, support and the customer's invoice. The percentage is shown on the job.

03

TDS

Tax deducted at source on your payout, deposited in your name. You can claim it when you file your return: ask your CA.

04

What you receive

The trip payout, minus the platform fee, minus TDS. This is the number to compare jobs by.

A worked example

These numbers are only an example. Your rate and the fee percentage are shown on every job.

How the money moves

  1. 1

The customer pays a token online

This confirms the booking before you start. You see that it is paid, not the amount.

  2. 2

    You do the job

    Load, tow and deliver.

  3. 3

The customer pays the balance at the drop

    By cash or UPI.

  4. 4

You see it on your earnings screen

Each job shows its payout, fee, tax and what you receive. The partner terms you accept explain how and when payouts are made.

Good to know

01

Cancellations

If a customer cancels after you have started, you can receive compensation depending on how far the job had gone.

02

Owners

For a fleet, payouts go to the owner. The owner's own tax position decides how tax is treated, and a registered GST business is treated differently.

03

Your rate

Your rate per kilometre is part of your profile. New drivers start from the default rate.

Questions partners ask

Why is the distance counted both ways?

The truck has to drive to the customer, carry the vehicle and drive back. Counting both ways is what makes the payout fair.

Do I see the token amount?

No. You see that the token is paid, so you can start, but not the amount.

Are tolls deducted from my payout?

No. Tolls are repaid to you in full and no fee or TDS is taken from them.

Can I change my rate?

Your rate is on your profile. Ask our team if you want it changed.

When do I get paid?

The partner terms you accept when you register explain how and when payouts are made, and your earnings screen shows each job.

Does Towigo guarantee a minimum income?

No. You earn per job.
